The purpose of the amendment is to terminate the mandate of Tamás Sulyok as head of state based on the relevant provisions, which would take effect on the day after the amendment to the law enters into force. Tamás Sulyok had previously sharply rejected the government's pressure in the current situation, calling attempts to intervene in his jurisdiction unconstitutional.
