The Antipropaganda.hu (hereinafter: the Website), I consider the protection of the personal data of visitors and partners to be of the utmost importance. The purpose of this notice is to transparently explain what personal data the Website processes, on what legal basis, for how long, and how, in compliance with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and domestic laws.

  • Purpose of data processing: To ensure the technical operation of the Website, prevent and detect cybersecurity incidents, and compile traffic statistics.

  • Legal basis: The Data Controller’s legitimate interests [Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR]. (Secure operation of the Website).

  • Duration: Log files on the server are automatically overwritten or deleted within a maximum of 30 days.

b) Communication (Email and messages)

  • Data processed: Name, email address, the content of the message, and any other personal data voluntarily provided therein.

  • Purpose of data processing: Responding to visitor inquiries and comments, and managing media relations.

  • Legal basis: The data subject’s consent [Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR].

  • Duration: Until the purpose is fulfilled (until the correspondence is concluded) or until consent is withdrawn (until a request for deletion is received).

c) User interactions (Comments and posts)

  • Data processed: Username/Nickname, email address, IP address, the text of the comment, and the date and time.

  • Purpose of data processing: Ensuring community interaction on the Website and enforcing moderation policies.

  • Legal basis: The data subject’s consent [Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR] is given by submitting the comment.

  • Duration: Until the comment appears on the website, or until the user requests its deletion.

d) OSINT and research data (Media analysis)

  • Data processed: Publicly available information and publications regarding public figures, journalists, and public relations professionals.

  • Purpose of data processing: Investigative journalism, news and media analysis, deconstruction of propaganda.

  • Legal basis: The Data Controller’s legitimate interest [Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR], in accordance with Act CIV of 2010 on Freedom of the Press and the Fundamental Rules of Media Content (Smtv.). The exercise of freedom of expression and freedom of the press as protected by the Fundamental Law. During the course of our research, we process special categories of data as defined in Article 9 of the GDPR (e.g., political opinions, religious beliefs) only if the data subject has explicitly made them public [Article 9(2)(e) of the GDPR].

3. Data Processors and Third Parties (Data Transfer)

When processing data, we use the following service providers (data processors) that guarantee a high level of data security:

  1. Infrastructure and Hosting:

    • Task: Secure cloud-based storage (Google Cloud Platform) of the Website’s files and database within the EU.

  2. Security and Web Acceleration:

    • Task: Protection against DDoS attacks, SSL/TLS encryption, caching (support for Redis/Varnish integration). Data is transferred in accordance with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

  3. Traffic statistics:

    • Name: Google LLC (Google Analytics)

    • Task: Analysis of anonymized traffic data. IP addresses are anonymized before being stored.

4. Data Security Measures

The Data Controller will do everything in its power to protect your data:

  • All communication between the Website and the visitor strictly encrypted (HTTPS, SSL/TLS) is taking place on the channel.

  • Access to the Google Cloud server infrastructure Using SSH key-based authentication, protected by two-factor authentication (2FA) and software firewalls.

  • The server's operating system and the CMS (WordPress) engine are regularly updated to address security vulnerabilities.

5. Your User Rights (Data Subject Rights)

Under the GDPR, you have the right at any time to:

  1. Request information and access about the personal data we have stored about you.

  2. Request your information correction or supplement, if they are inaccurate.

  3. Request your information deletion („the right to be forgotten”) if the legal basis no longer applies.
