In 2008, a Zionist Jew living in the United States named Barre Seid wrote a check for nearly $17 million. The purpose was to finance the distribution of 28 million copies of a hate-filled documentary film, whose basic premise was that Islam is equivalent to Nazism and the greatest threat to the West. The CDs were distributed by the Clarion Foundation, which has been linked to the Israeli group Aish HaTorah.

Clarion is registered as a foreign nonprofit organization in the United States. This was the climax of the campaign between John McCain and a political newcomer, Barack Husain Obama. Seid’s contribution to the attempt to spread hatred and fear against Muslims was supposed to remain secret. Fortunately for us, his accountant made a mistake by listing his name in a public document.

American Muslims are very afraid these days. Donald Trump is president. The far right is on the rise. It’s easy to be afraid of the masses of white voters who voted for Trump. They are the ones with red, angry faces, often caught on camera saying things about Muslims and minorities that send a chill down the spines of Muslims.

Many Muslims wish Hillary Clinton had won. After all, there were women wearing hijabs at her campaign rallies, and she spoke out in defense of Muslims and their constitutional rights. And who could forget the Pakistani lawyer who graduated from Harvard, who spoke at a Democratic Party rally, holding a small copy of the Constitution in his hand and attacking Trump with the following words: „Let me ask you: have you even read the U.S. Constitution? I’d be happy to lend you my copy.” Khizr Khan’s words resonated with many Muslims who were (and still are) afraid and confused.

It didn’t matter that President Obama had launched a campaign of deadly mass murder by indiscriminately bombing Muslims around the world. It didn’t matter that Hillary Clinton, in her speech at the AIPAC convention—which was punctuated by frequent applause—threatened to „destroy Iran” if it ever threatened Israel with an attack. Nor did it matter that all the neoconservatives responsible for the disastrous invasion of Iraq supported Clinton. Palestine or the issue of Palestinian rights was not on anyone’s radar. In fact, Clinton did everything she could to demonstrate her unwavering support for Israel, yet most Muslims continued to flock to her. None of that mattered. As far as most American Muslims were concerned, domestic policy considerations came first. And that was all that mattered.

If these Muslims had ever looked a little deeper, they would have realized that the main driving force behind the hatred against American, European, and Canadian Muslims is not disgruntled white people and their orange savior, but the Zionists. The Zionists have donated vast sums to fund books, videos, think tanks, radio talk shows, websites, and other platforms, with a single goal: to cement in the minds of angry white people the notion of Islam—and, more broadly, Muslims—as an existential threat.

Dissatisfied white people are angry because they feel the elite have betrayed them. They are right. Their hatred and anger are not directed solely at Muslims. They hate the idea of equal opportunity. Furthermore, the caricature of all „right-wing” white voters as racists and Islamophobes is unfair and perhaps false.

Pro-Israel individuals and groups are committed to destroying Islam and making life unbearable for Muslims in the Western world. They have spent enormous sums of money on this effort. For example, between September 11, 2001, , a total of $42 million in donations went to organizations that the Center for American Progress has classified as anti-Muslim hate groups. Nearly 50% of this amount was donated by a single person: the aforementioned Barre Seid,2 a Zionist Jew to whom Bar-Ilan University in Israel awarded an honorary doctorate for his numerous works that „strengthen Israel’s position in the world.”3 They do this because they feel that Islam poses the greatest challenge to the illegal Zionist entity. They are right. Islam does not tolerate oppression, whether directed against Muslims or non-Muslims. And only the most well-informed and/or the most ignorant can claim that the Zionist entity is anything but unjust.

Of course, this does not mean that we should ignore the inherent racism exhibited by white working-class individuals in many Western countries. The issue of the West’s imperial history and the racist attitudes that form the basis of its imperial legacy deserves an article or book of its own. But the point is this: the racism exhibited by the right wing of the political spectrum is not directed exclusively against Muslims. It is a burning rage that often finds support in Islamophobia. Zionist groups and individuals are dangerous because they seek to exploit this hatred to suppress political dissent among Western Muslims. Israeli officials’ meetings with far-right groups with a Nazi past are just one example of the Zionists’ efforts to collaborate with anyone who is willing to curb the potential political influence of Muslims before it grows.

There is a tendency within the North American Muslim community to isolate their lives from the rest of the Muslim world. This applies to every issue, but especially to the question of Palestine. The argument is often phrased as follows: Palestine, or Kashmir, Afghanistan, Syria, Burma, Chechnya, or any other place in the world where Muslims are oppressed, is secondary. The well-being and prosperity of local Muslims is primary.

When asked about the lack of a moral foundation for this argument, the common response is often: „If we cannot take care of ourselves first, how can we help others?” The reality, however, is that Muslims in the West and their brothers and sisters around the world face the same existential threat: Zionism. Whether it’s Fox News and its Zionist Jewish owner, or Israeli organizations and their covert funding of anti-Muslim hatred, Muslims must unite. In fact, if we examine the conflicts affecting Muslims—whether in Kashmir, Iraq, Syria, or other countries—Zionist hands are at work behind the scenes. Israel is one of the main supporters of the corrupt Saudi regime and has provided medical and other assistance to ISIS and other groups. The former defense minister of the Zionist entity recently gave a speech in which he said that ISIS had apologized for mistakenly attacking Israel in November 2016.

Even more ominous is the fact that the Zionists have devoted enormous resources to conflating Takfiri groups such as ISIS, al-Qaeda, and others with liberation movements such as Hezbollah, Hamas, and so on. The goal is to turn Israel’s struggle into the West’s struggle, while in reality Hezbollah, Hamas, and others have made it clear that they have no quarrel with the West, other than its support for Israel and its blatant interference in their internal affairs. For example, Pentagon officials have labeled Hezbollah „the A-team of terrorism.”5 This raises the question: why has Hezbollah never attacked the continental United States? The answer is obvious, but the Zionists are determined to obscure the truth. They want the West to fight precisely those groups that are at the forefront of the battle against ISIS, al-Qaeda, and other groups committed to murdering Western civilians.

One important caveat: Muslims need to stop letting „liberal” and „conservative” Zionism fool them. It’s this good cop/bad cop routine that misleads many Muslims and has them completely confused. Instead of swooning every time a liberal Zionist like Jon Stewart defends the Palestinians and criticizes Israel, we must ask the question: Does Jon Stewart support the Zionist entity’s theft of Palestinian land? We must oppose the very existence of the apartheid state, and we must not settle for anything less. Nevertheless, we must educate Jews and unite with those people of the Jewish faith who are committed to dismantling the Zionist entity. Israel has not made Jews safer. Security was one of the most important factors that contributed to the brainwashing of world Jewry in favor of the Zionist state. This is not an insignificant point, and it must be effectively utilized as a tool of counter-propaganda. The security of Jews has nothing to do with Israel. In fact, a state that upholds and protects the civil rights of everyone—Jews, Christians, and Muslims, as well as others in Palestine—is a far better guarantee of long-term Jewish security in the Muslim East and around the world.

Western Zionism is the real fifth column among us. When I say „ours,” I mean all the people living in Western societies. Muslims must understand that the countries in which they live belong to them just as much as they do to their neighbors. Their anti-Zionist rhetoric must be based on protecting the interests of Muslims living all over the world and gullible Westerners, who often fall victim to the clichés of their political elites. I repeat, Jews cannot be ignored in all of this. It seems that more and more Jews are waking up to the reality of Zionism and the indoctrination they have undergone.

Instead of always taking a defensive stance, Western Muslims must unite against Zionism. This begins by setting aside all sectarian, nationalist, ethnic, and tribal differences. Muslims must embrace the Quranic idea that only the most righteous are superior (49:13). Every minor disagreement must be treated as part of the struggle against Zionism. Their legitimacy must be torn from the fabric of the Western alliance. Zionism poses a threat not only to Muslims but to all Westerners, with the intent of recruiting young men and women into its fight against Islam and Muslims. An example of this is the funding of think tanks that produce white papers detailing Israel’s strategic responsibility toward the West in the Muslim East.

Zionism poses an existential threat to Muslims, both in the West and abroad. It also poses an existential threat to the West, because it views the clash between Islam and the West as a means of survival. All peace-loving people, whether Muslim or non-Muslim, should unite and commit to the radical eradication of Zionism by identifying and rooting out Zionist agents and influential figures within Western politics. If the Zionist apartheid state loses the support and funding of America and others, it will not last long.

Furthermore, the role of the imperialists must not be overlooked. The emphasis must be on helping people realize that the very elites they are fighting against are also the ones with whom the Zionists are working hand in hand. These elites created the Zionist entity to facilitate their criminal activities. This point is important. In focusing on Zionism, we must not fall into the trap of thinking that the Western elite are gullible children in the hands of some grand Zionist conspiracy. As Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah noted in a speech, it is not necessarily Israel that controls the West; Zionists wield great power in the West, but it was the Americans who forced the Israelis to brutally attack Lebanon, not the other way around. Western elites are motivated by what they perceive as their global, capitalist interests. Zionists are motivated by the survival of the Zionist entity. This difference is crucial for the political future of Muslims in the West. The Zionists want to destroy Muslim political capital and influence. The imperialists want to control it.

Both must be confronted, but the former poses a greater, short-term threat and must be addressed quickly. Moreover, the two are inextricably intertwined. Zionism is the illegitimate child of imperialist Britain and America. Eliminating its political influence in Western public discourse and political discourse will lead to the simultaneous weakening of the imperialist, capitalist elite, who are the root cause of numerous wars and miseries worldwide. So, how can Muslims free the West from Zionist political influence when Zionism is a tool of Western imperialism and is supported by the elites for the sake of their own self-preservation? Public opinion must become so overwhelming that they are forced to back down. And Muslims must be at the forefront of shaping public opinion, not of it striking them. This perspective must guide every political decision.

Finally, one must not give up on a cause simply because it seems difficult or impossible. A monotheist is not deterred by man-made obstacles. All who seek the truth must unite and fight against injustice. Zionism is only one aspect of the Western political reality that Muslims face, albeit a significant one. Timing, political strategy, a political vision, and a unified Muslim political community are key to effectively confronting Zionism. The goal is for Muslims to be aware of the threat posed by Zionism. Interaction among Muslims in all areas of Western life, as well as the promotion of interfaith dialogue and humanitarian work, is equally important.
