Health officials at the Nasser Medical Center in southern Gaza told Al Jazeera that an Israeli drone strike killed a 12-year-old child and wounded several others on Wednesday in the al-Mawasi area, west of the city of Khan Younis.<\/p>\n
According to data from the Gaza Health Ministry, at least 1,027 people have been killed and 3,280 injured in Israeli attacks since the \u201eceasefire\u201d that came into effect in October 2025.<\/p>\n
Overall, since the start of the genocidal war launched by Israel in October 2023, the death toll has reached 73,041 and the number of wounded has reached 173,402.<\/p>\n
The child's killing came a day after a UN commission of inquiry issued a report that concluded that Israel's deliberate attacks on children are part of an ongoing genocide against Palestinians.<\/p>\n
