However, the Hungarian Constitutional Court later determined that certain elements of the statute were incompatible with the Hungarian Fundamental Law, thus the automatic domestic enforcement of the court&#039;s decisions encountered legal obstacles.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"9,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">The great power dissent:<\/b> While the mainstream media emphasizes the binding nature of Hague decisions, it often glosses over the fact that the world\u2019s most influential military and economic powers \u2013 including the <b data-path-to-node=\"9,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"206\">United States, Israel, Russia and China<\/b> \u2013 either they did not recognize or subsequently withdrew their signatures from the Rome Statute, thus they do not recognize the jurisdiction of the ICC over their own citizens.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"10\">The media narrative war<\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"11\">A professional media analysis points out that Euronews and similar platforms prefer to frame the issue exclusively in the narrative of \u201eHungarian special status\u201d or opposition to the international community. In contrast, the reality is that the ICC\u2019s decisions \u2013 be they arrest warrants for political and military leaders in Eastern Europe or the Middle East \u2013 operate not as legal instruments but as pure power instruments in the global geopolitical space.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12\">Budapest&#039;s decision to formally remain a member of the organization but distance itself from concrete implementation in practice, citing legal incompatibility, is a pragmatic diplomatic balancing act.
