Stephen Kapos, a Holocaust survivor, at the Nakba Day demonstration in London:<\/p>\n

The 88-year-old man has taken part in nearly every demonstration over the past two years, protesting Israel\u2019s genocide in Gaza.<\/p>\n

Stephen is standing and sitting with his family and members of the group \u201eHolocaust Survivors and Descendants Against the Genocide in Gaza.\u201d.<\/p>\n

He told us the following:<\/p>\n

\u201eToday we remember not only the forcible displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinian Arabs and the looting of their homes during the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948. We also remember the illegal occupation of Palestinian lands and the genocide taking place in Gaza.\u201d<\/strong>
\n\u201eThe peoples of the world must demand justice for the Palestinians and fight for it, so as to compel their own governments to take action to end Israel\u2019s genocide, occupation, and apartheid.\u201d<\/strong>
\n\u201eThat is why these marches are attacked so often\u2014it is the threat we pose to injustice. And the symbol of solidarity and hope that we represent.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n
